i read on live aquaria that i should dose iodine for peppermint shrimp, is this true? they dont get what they need from the water changes?

This is not really true. Dosing iodine can be very destructive in a tank when not monitored very closely. Water changes will be just fine to replace any depleted trace elements, providing you do them on a regualr basis.

i grew up there, lived just north of minneapolis pretty much my whole life, moved to fl in 98. all of my family is still there, im going back home for vacation in april. im pretty excited.

It has been in the high 30's lately. No real snow for sledding. I actually grew up in Iowa but moved here in '99. My family and I have always vacationed in MN since I was a toddler.

well maybe theyll be snow next winter, im moving back up there in a couple of years. hopefully my fish make that long journey!!
