Peppermint shrimp sounds???

Do Peppermint Shrimp make a snapping or popping sound? Or could it be a Mantis?

Ive never know them to make snapping noises, could be a mantis or a pistol shrimp.

LOL.. welcome to the club. I've been hearing it for weeks and have yet to spot anything. Hoping it's a pistol and not he whose name shall not be spoken. :?
