I recently covered my glass aquarium with Perspex. This is because I have a fire in the same room and when cleaned it leaves a layer of dust on the water line.

The main question is. Does the Perspex disrupt the light spectrum for my corals.
So far everything looks fine but any info would be great.

I have ai sol super blue.

No, it will not filter any colors out, but condensation on it can reduce the light delivered to the tank. It can also inhibit good gas exchange which could cause ph problems for you. If these turn out to be problems for you, consider a clear mesh top. The ash from your fireplace is mostly soda ash and carbon. Soda ash is something commonly added as a ph buffer. I wouldn't worry about the few micrograms of ash the tank might encounter.
