PH Drop?

Yesterday I was doing some water checks and the PH dropped to 8.0 from 8.4 on sunday.

Is there any reason to be alarmed?

What could cause this?

Ammonia is at 0.25, Nitrate 0, Nitrite 5.0, SG 1.0225

PH fluctuates at different times of the day. Try to take the reading at the excact same time of the day when you do.
8.0 isn't really that bad. Keep an eye on it and let us know what it does.
If it truly is dropping you can do a water change with well aged, ph adjusted mix and see if thats helps

I did take the sample late at night. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Ya, try 2 tests in the next 2 days as the same time of day. Should be a much closer reading then.
