PH raiser

What product can I use to raise the PH in my saltwater tank?
The PH is around 8.0 but id like it one or two points higher ideally.

they make a ph buffer, but what salt are you using? i changed my salt and that made a difference, i guess the mixes have buffers in them already. ive been hearing good news about the oceanic salt that just came out.

i'm using Instant Ocean salt, the salinity is good though so I don't want to add more salt just to buffer the pH. Do the freshwater PH raisers work in saltwater?

What is your alkalinity at? If the alk is fine, your problem may not be easily fixed chemically. Low ph with an acceptable alk would indicate a problem with low water flow, trapped CO2 or possibley not enough surface movement.

Cheers

What time of day are you measuring your pH as it varies? FYI, my pH right before the lights come on is 7.8-7.9 and then during mid-day to the evening it is around 8.3-8.4.

I would bet it to be higher. Especially if your tank has good gas exchange...
