I want to put in my tank some Phosphate absorber. The PO4 level is not high but I want to make sure it stays that way. My external filter is too full with other media to put it in.
Is there any reason why I cannot put it in the outflow box of my skimmer. The PO4 absorber is the Rowa Phos which comes in a muslin bag so it will not be loose. My skimmer is a Aqua Medic Turbo 1000.

TIA

No, the only reason I can think of...would be if it puts back pressure on the skimmer return. That might mess with the waterline in the skimmer. I would like to say...If you don't have a PO4 problem and simply don't want one....why not dose kalk for CA and ALK...it has the added benifit of precipitating PO4.
