So I finally got my tank to stabilize when I made the worst mistake of topping off for about two days with the wrong water..... I usually buy distilled but this time accidentally bought purified which supposedly can spike phosphates. This spike has caused cyano to take off.... Are there any good phosphate reducers you recommend??

Really gfo from anywhere run in a reactor. It won't take it out but will bind it up to itself. You need to replace it about every month. Or if you're looking for something else you could set up a refugium or algae turf scrubber. Scrubbers are amazing. Really.
