*pics* is this good or bad LR

hi,

just got some LR and i wanted to know if it is good quality LR. im not really concerned with the shape/look but if the colored stuff on the rock is good

btw, im a noob if you couldnt tell from my post

The LR you have looks decent to me. It looks like Fiji, although it is very difficult to tell from a pic. The colored stuff is assorted coraline algaes, considered a good thing.

I'd say it looks like decent stuff to me as well. about the only sign of "bad" LR would be either a lot of black colored growths (dead patches) or the complete lack of color/growth. I've heard the saying, "good LR smells like clean dirt" while humorus.. i smelled my first batch of cured LR from my LFS, and the description fit! heh

i see a little patch of purple down there.. i'd say good, too.. you can tell if it is uncured live rock if it smells like "sewage" when you put it in the tank.. i had uncured live rock and it took like a week to cure it.. it stunk!!
