Ok here's the deal... I was given a Long Tenticle Plate Coral and was wondering if anyone can give me info on them?? The more the better..Thanks in advance.

Plate corals are easy to care for, but havew a poor surviavability rate in home aquaria. They are single polyp corals and are damaged easily, the damage tends to result in infectionwhich quickly consumes the whole coral. They should be placed on the sandbed and care should be taken that they have plenty of room, they will inflate with water and wander around. The prefer a low to med flow and a med to high light.

Thanks Kevin.. Guess if it doesn't do well in the home aquarium, I shouldn't feel bad if something happens to it. I would hate to feel like a huge failure or something. However, I will do my best to get the longest life possible out of it.
