Please Help

We have a 100 gallon aquarium with a metal halide t5 light combo what would be the best spot in the tank for a star polyp frag we recently purchased?We have been experimenting and think it needs alot of light because if part of it is in a shaded area it retracts itself.

Mine are under 250 metal halide.

My experience says you may have to try a few different spots mine wouldnt come out when placed high in the tank with flow directly over the top of them so i moved them to the bottom and they still get lots of flow just not so direct

This coral is pretty hardy, it will adapt to almost any lighting. Flow will make it close up if there is too much though.
