Barring that perhaps some Banggai Cardinalfish (low bio load).
The website lists them as semi-aggressive. I've had trouble with SA fish before. Might aggression be a problem depending on what other fauna are there?

Hmmm... I swear they used to list them as "peaceful". That's strange. Either way, mine is the definition of "docile".

I was surprised at rating too till I read further ... "aggressive behavior towards conspecifics" (Conspecifics - Members of the same species).

I have a pair of Pajama Cardinals which are listed as peaceful. I could not find any banggai when I looking. These are the most docile fish in the tank.

What do ya'll think about the Flame Hawkfish? I saw one of those this weekend at the LFS and it was a pretty awesome fish.

It's listed as semi-aggresive and eats shrimp...

I would also second 3-4 Chromis. I have 3 in my 60g and they are really nice fish.

Another suggestion and one fish that I am going to get later for my 60 is a coral beauty dwarf angle. A really nice 4"-5" fish that move fluidly through live rock formations. Now they are not 100% reef safe, but I had one in my 37g and it never picked on any of my corals. Most people would say that they are usually reef safe. they are really nice fish and a nice size for a 55g.

Good luck

John
