This has been growing on my torch for about a month. I thought it might have been another head or possibly a sponge of some sort. Now it's almost the size of a cotton ball. It has a round hole and looks hollow. Then today a hermit crawled by it and the hole closed really fast. So a mouth possibly. Then when taking these pics I found another mouth on the other side. I have no idea what it is.. Doesn't bother me at all. All creatures of the sea are fascinating. I would just like to know if it has a negative impact on my reef.. Thanks!!!!!!

hmmm id say a sponge but think its odd that it likes being under your torch!usually a good thing if it is a sponge!

It looks to be a sea squirt. Their non photosynthetic and feed by filtering your water. Typically not very hardy but vary specimen to specimen.
