Possible to have low magnesium and high calcium?

Hello everyone.

i recently bought a Magnesium tesk kit ( salifert ) and my results shock me.
i did the test 3times now and been getting that i have no MG at all???
however, when i check my calcium (API) i get 440ppm.
and have a alk of 7.

is the salifert test kit so off? or is that really a possibility?

my tank is 1month old (46gal and 30gal sump) with 0 Amonia, nitrite and nitrate.
added hermit crabs, snails, and 1 clown about 2weeks ago. all doing great.

Silly question, but how are you doing the mag test? salifert tests are really accurate but can be a little difficult to do. It's probably impossible for you to have those other readings and have 0 mag.

If you are worried see if your LFS can test for mag and see what they get.

Okay guys i got it i was looking at the results wrong. im at 1350. turns out it was .10 ml and not 1.00ml
