So I've been running my 35 gallon saltwater tank for several months now and I've always ran my penguin 200 HOB filter on it with the carbon cartridges. I also have a half gallon refugium with chaeto algae and LR rubble and my aqua c remorse HOB Skimmer. Is this filter helping with anything do u think or could I just take it out completely?

I run a small HOB on my sump with carbon and phos-ban IMO yes they help as long as there kept clean My feeling is there no such thing as to much filtering
