Protein layer on water surface

Have a protein layer on my water surface. How can I get rid of it? It's been there for a couple Of days now..

Protein skimmer or overflow.

I can't do an overflow and I do have a skimmer but it's in my hob filter/sump that pulls water from An inch under the water surface.
Any other ideas?

Aim power heads at surface and increase your surface agitation.. With will increase your ph and oxygen as well

I did it's pretty wild bu it doesn't take away the layer it's a coralia 550 in a 10g...

adjust your sump pipe so it removes some of the surface water and point the powerhead towards thet pipe.
