Hi need some advice please.

My partner has a valentini puffer fish and was wondering if she could add another small puffer to her aquarium?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

generally mixing any type of puffers is a bad idea. There is no guarantee that two puffers will live peacefully together forever. It might take a few months or years for them to grow up and get really aggressive. Or it may never happen.

These fish are very personable and its really easy to get attached to them, but 2 in a tank might end up in tears..

That's what we thought tbh but just thought it was worth asking the question.

Thanks for the feed back guys really appreciate it. We will stick with the valentini puffer.

Its easy giving someone else advice, but when it becomes your own problem then its harder to determine.

I'm still considering 2 different toby puffers in a 46g...
