Puffer question

I have a Golden puffer around 8 inches long and she seems to suck her fin in her gill. Why does this happen and is it normal?

Not sure about the first one, my WAG would be when the gill opens it creates enough suction to pull the fin upto it. As for normal, I have never seen it before.

Sorry, but I have never noticed this on my dog puffer. I'll observe him a bit closer and see if he does it ...

Does she do it one boths sides? I've never seen a fish do that before, is the fin really going far into the gill or just sucking against the gill?

She does it only on her right side. She sucks the fin all the way in. She seems very healthy and she does not experience any difficulty breathing.
