Know they're not supposed to be compatible but my lfs has had them together multiple times with no problems.

I'm just wondering if anyone has kept starfish with puffers long term successfully?

I had a blue spotted puffer that attacked my sand sifting star and ate my zoas, he's now back at my lfs

Haha well my plan is to add a small puffer to a tank that will have a chocolate chip sea star and hope they get along haha. If not I'll try to rescue the sea star an take him back to my lfs.
