I have a 65 gallon reef tank. The specific gravity is at 1.020 and I want it at 1.023 to 1.025. I have been slowly adding more salt but it don't act like it is helping. What should I do?

Maybe what you're measuring with ain't helping. What are you using? Are you adding salt to a tank of water, or water and critters? Should be diluting salt in water, then adding. Not just dumping salt into a tank unless you have some way to agitate it real good.

just add salted water to your top offs. every time water evaporates, have ready mixed water and add it to top off.

I have been mixing salt in a little container and then add salt to my sump first so it won't be so concentrated when it goes to the actual aquarium. Thanks for all the advice.
