Setting up my QT today and wondering how to safely clean the PVC parts (for fish to hide)? Not sure what these parts have on them (contaminents).

I just placed a few PVC pipes in my tank for my snowflake eel. All you need to do, after you cut them to size, is use sand paper and polish off the ends. Then rinse thoroughly through warm filtered water. I use RO water even to rinse. Don't use soap or anything like that. After thoroughly rinsing and wiping with a clean sterile towel, you'll be all set.

If your still worried you can use vinegar or even bleach but rinse very well and let dry in the sunlight but I would only do the later if it has stuff on it that you don't know what it is

PVC is perfectly safe for fish. After adequate curing time, so is the solvent for PVC etc.
