i am needing to run pvc tubing from my sump to the tank at about a 10' head for my 55g. what size of pvc would i need? 1.5? also, is this something i can pick up at a home depot etc?

ell what pump are you useing? you have to look at the pump to tell you what size outlet it has. you cant just use 1.5 in and the pump only has a 3/4 in outlet. the water will never make it to the tank.

once you figure out the size then yes you can get it at home depot.

Use standard PVC pipe like found in the plumbing section. Size your return plumbing as was suggested above to match the outlet size of your pump.
