Possibly a silly question, but I want to add cleaner shrimp to my set up. Is it important to quarantine shrimp as it is to quarantine new fish? Anything different for the acclamation process?

I do not quarantine shrimp. I do acclimate shrimp the same as I do my fish, Click here for acclimation instructions.

Thanks. Assume you skip the fresh water dip as well? I know some inverts are more sensitive to salinity than others.

Yeah, I skip it. That is easy for me, cause I don't do it for any of my critters or fish.

I have found that different shrimp are sensitive to acclimation. I have never had problems with peppermints but have lost skunk back cleaners to improper acclimation.

What do you mean by "improper" acclaimation?

I acclimated it too quickly. Brought the salinity up/down too quickly.
