Q-tank questions... bare bottom qtank with LR?

Just curious if he or any other fish comes down with Ick, I think I see a spot, is that LR or base rock I am using need to be fallow as well for 8 weeks after he is cured before new fish come to the qtank or should I just use dry base rock and rotate it and sun dry it between uses? I'm using a 12gallon mini bow with CF and HOB.

Thanks

LR should not be used for a QT. It's best not to use any rock at all in a QT. Nothing porous except the sponge of the filter. Flower pots and PVC pipe make nice hiding places for the fish and easy to sterilize between uses of the QT.

We, as a people, know so much more about outer space than we do about our own oceans. This lack of knowledge can very well spell the dangers that lay in wait for us.

The oceans surely would swallow us before a rock comes down to smite the planet of it's life.
