i have a fish that has ich. i want to fill my tank with water what do i do. i've heard that you can fill it with half of of u main tanks water and half of new water or u can just put all new water and do water changes every day so it doesn't cycle. is there another and which is best.
ps im treating fish with cupramine in a qt cuz main tank has inverts and lr.

I just used aged new SW. If you treat with medication it will kill the bacteria anyway.
I also did a 30% water change every day to combat ammonia and nitrite. Just aclimate them to the qt tank properly.
Cupramne worked great for me.
You do know that all your fish need to be in qt and the tank left fallow of fish for at least 4 weeks (6 would be better) to rid your tank of the parasites.
Good luck (y)
