quarantine tank with cupramine

I was wondering what people's thoughts were on the idea to use cupramine (copper) as a prevention to ich in my quarantine tank for newly acquired livestock.

I`m one of those that when adding livestock only use a QT to observe fish first and see if there is anything wrong with them. I dont treat unless they have something wrong with them. I do know some that pre treat their livestock. Not saying it`s wrong but I choose not to do it.
