i got a simple HOB biowheel filter from petco, you can probably get one rated for a 10 gallon tank for like 15 bucks.

I personally think this approach will be way too stagnant unless you toss in a powerhead. I like the Duetto 100 filter I have in my QT. it's left over from an old fw setup. 92gph and you can put carbon in it

usually you need rated for 20 gallons for a 10 as a normal tank. but something rated as a 10 is usually good for qt
