hello i really wanted to get a black clownfish for my tank, they are really exotic looking and not soo common as with the normal clowns.. i went to my lfs and he said they are horrible he said he doesnt sell them anymore because he cant keep them alive?! is this true do they die that easy??? thanks for any help or info wiht them i dont know alot about them..

I've had a black clown that is going on 1yr now. They are just has hardy as their orange counterparts in my experience.

It might just be the LFS supplier. We order clowns in every week. Half the time they come DOA or they come in alive and they die within the next couple of days. All other fish/coral does fine just the clowns. But the black percs are nice my mom has had one for 6 months.

How likely are the black clowns to host a BTA or other anenome? My oscellaris is not interested at all...
