question about Fluval 404 hoses

Hi

i've been noticeing once awhile my out spout shoots out dirty water. after cleaning the filter and its started back up, it shoots out LOTS of crap.
could this all be stuck in the hoses? is there a way to clean them? or do you buy new hoses every so often.

The hoses trap a lot of gunk, I use a really long bottle brush to clean, but I have resorted to buying new ones avery 6 months.

I was wondering the same thing. I just cleaned my 404 last night and when I fired it back up tons of stuff blew out. Lots of pods and stuff.

I have an Ehiem 2026, I clean my hoses with this:
