Why would you want to? Buy some base rock or dead live rock..

I would venture it would become nasty looking base rock.

My guess is everything live would probably die because they are saltwater organisms. Also it might raise your parameters. I wouldn't try it. Interesting thought though........

Yeah I wouldn't try it, I wanted to know if it would work as a normal base rock or mess up the parameters of the tank

Buy some nice dead rock if you really like the look of it..
