Quick question for you BakPak owners out there. I'm considering purchasing one but have a question.

I have a glass top on my Oceanic tank. I'm removed the black plastic strip off the back allowing me the opening required for my pumps, powerheads, etc.

How much room does the BakPak take up where it enters the tank?

I had a Prizm on there at one time, but it did not sit correct because of the glass top, I was never able to set the skimmer on it's lip, if I did the glass top would not fit the top.

Thanks in advance.

About an inch to an inch and a half - ymmv.. or will vary is more likely.

Sorry I couldn't get more accurate, my tank is on top of my fireplace (temporary, temporary.. looks great though) and I have about two inches to sit on while I peer over the top and measure.

i have one in my tank the larger of the 2 pipes is your return which is
1 1/4"pipe so max room youll need is 2"

Another solution for your glasstop problem. Eggcrate. Some people use it instead of glasstop, and say that it allows more oxygen into your tank.

Yeah, 2" clearance should be enough.
the CPR is 10x better than a Prizm too (and I speak from experience on both)
