I'm constantly using different salt mixes. I don't see much variation, but then again, I have a lot of surface area.

You will know the difference if you take readings of each salt water before pouring into your tank and compare them. What do you think dictates the price of each salt mix?

Name....hype mostly. I have found that my tank does no better or worse with a 75 dollar bucket, than a 45 dollar bucket.

Agreed. I usually use RC but will use whatever is available cheap.

That's interesting. I can't believe Instant Ocean would produce the same salt mix and label one as Reef Crystal.

When I am referring to salt mixes, I'm talking about reef grade ones, not F.O. salts like IO or seachem.
