random question about drift wood in a SW tank

my brother wants to know if you can put real drift wood in his sw tank? idk why he would want to but yeah he does lol

I wouldn't know anything other than it makes water murkey but i've seen plants do the same to freshwater. >.> I haven't tried putting any in my sw tank for just that reason.

Can't say why other than thinking about all the stff wood could hold in it that can harm your critters.
