My RBT recently was caught in a power head and lost some tentecles. He moved around the tank for a while but couldn't stick anywhere and his mouth started to gape, so I moved him to a QT. What should I do with him and my tank? How do I know when it's safe to put him back?

How old is your tank? What lighting do you have? What are your trates?
The nem could have stuck wherever it wanted but I guess it was not comfortable?
The QT may not be a good idea as nems need aged set ups. Also many need to feed of proper lighting...
A reef rule is no nems for first 6-12 months....

Can you tell us more about the system?
Anemone have some pretty specific requirements like stable, pristine water conditions and intense lighting. If they are not met they will try to move to find it. This often leads to them getting caught up in powerheads.
