red knob starfish

i have a question as how to feed my red knob starfish, i know its a carnivore, my question is how do i feed the chopped clams and squid? the carnivorous fish in my tank would devour the feed, should i place the food in the starfish's mouth?

Place the food under one of it's legs, it will move over it and begin eating it.
