I am wondering if I could wrap this piece of LR in saran wrap to kill off the red turf???
Just set up my tank 2 weeks ago, w/a 10 pound piece of cured LR from LFS to seed base. After day 3 of cycling with a piece shrimp I noticed the red turf algae.
I don't really like the idea of hydrogen peroxide (still might) for such a large rock b/c I don't know the long term consequences.
Don't want to use the turbos b/c tank is still cycling.
Also can anyone ID this pink(not red at all) spot on LR-it has a gel like texture and I have a few spots in different areas of LR??
