So i've got an ICECAP 660 in my posession at the moment. With it I can drive 440Watts of VHO or some PC's. But I can also sell this ICECAP for $100 and then buy a Ballast+Refelect+(2x250Watt MH)Bulbs(~6months) for $160. Should I go for it or just use the ICECAP?

well we are on the same page here. I just sold mine and 8 german endcaps for that on a trade for a T5 hood 8 bulb

It depends on what you plan on keeping and the size of your tank. Remember MH produce a lot of heat, smaller tanks can have heat issues. If heat is not an issue, go w/ the MH's IMO.
