I would say something slow about 100- 150 gph would be my estimate. I know mine just runs by gravity and lights stay on 24/7.

I think I have about 250gph going through my fuge...I can't be sure...I also have a small 80gph pump in my fuge to circulate the water in the tank (my fuge is a 20g tall) I've noticed a lot more growth in my macro since I added the pump, better water flow in the tank but not more water flow through the tank.
