That's pretty much how it works. They get sucked into the pump and blown into the tank....or if you're pumping into the fuge, they'll get washed into the tank via the overflow. If I am not mistaken, the pods are most active at night so that's when most of them would be out. Try looking at the side of the fuge a couple of hours after the lights go out...there should be a bunch of them. From what I have seen in mine, they breed like crazy once they get established.

hey,
if i were you i would probably put something like a 3 inch DSB deep sand bed in my refugium and start growing some caulerpa. its annoying to buy a little plastic box for $100 isn't it?
