I have a 150 gallon reef tank with a 30-40 gallon wet dry. i have a 24 inch refugium made by cpr. is this big enough? is it too big? personally, i'd like to get another one...14 inches. i know that plants use up nutrients and whatnot, but i'm not stingy with my supplements. any advice will be helpful.
thanks,
joe.

as refugiums go, like all tanks, bigger is better. holds more water volume, more room for plants, lr, and ls. refugiums can be used for a variety of things, not just holding plants for nutrient export. learn more about them and decide what you want out of it. The book Reef Invertebrates has a lot of info on them and their uses.
