When I get ready to replace my HO and actinic bulbs, can I buy bulbs that have a higher wattage? I feel I a could use a little more but don't want to buy a whole new fixture.

The wattage will be the same in the bulbs depending on length. To get a higher wattage bulb means you need a larger bulb which means it isn't gonna fit. You can always order a retro fit kit and add more light to your tank that way.

i remember reading someone had my fixture a 2x t5 nova extreme with 48 watts per bulb but maybe it was just a larger fixture

i also want stronger lights

You can't get higher wattage but ATI has the best PAR or one of the best
