Question Returning Enthusiast with Newbie Questions - 30 Gallon Cube and Sump?

I have a 30 Gallon Oceanic that I had setup with FOWLR for a few years now. It's been out of commission for a few months and I'd like to get it running again since the kiddos are starting to take an interest.

Here's my dilemma... It currently has an AquaClear HOB Filter. I'd like to convert to some type of sump/refugium. Years ago, I had a 125 gallon and the wet/dry was a huge help.

In any case, my options are limited with the cube size and stand. Can someone give me some ideas and a step-by-step list (like I am a newbie) of what I need to get started. I'm pretty handy but I'd rather not have to fabricate things myself.

By the way, here is a stock pic of my setup (although mine is cherry color): http://www.oceanicsystems.com/assets...2456_400wh.jpg

Thanks all for the advice!!!!
