Ricordea - remove from plug

I have this ricordea on the floor of my tank and want to move it into some rocks and let it grow around them. Problem is that it is in a frag plug and seems to be pretty securely attached.

Can I get it off the plug without damaging? How?

Should I just leave it in the plug and break off them stem before placing on rock and letting it grow over?

You can just glue the plug to where you want it. I did that and now you can't see the plug at all.
