Hey guys..I got my first coral..Its a bunch of green ricordia on a piece of rock...Nice stuff(Ill post pics later)...My question is will these eventually reproduce and spread in the tank?..Sorry for the ignorance...
 
Probably, assuming your tank and water conditons are to the ricordias liking. These corals like more light than mushrooms so you won't want to shade them unless you have a MH lighting system. Mine are doing well about 4" from the surface under PC lights. If they reproduce, you'll see the ricordia starting to develop two mouths. It will eventually split between these and become two separate corals. I wouldn't look for them to spread very quickly though...they tend to grow and reproduce slowly.
