What are you talking about drinking the wrong water? Are you not allowed to drink RO/DI water? What is wrong with that? I must be missing something too!

There is nothing wrong with drinking just RO water yu just don't want to drink the water after running it through the DI unit there is nothing left as far as minerals, and then your body will start taking minerals out of your system to compisate for the lost minerals from the DI portion of the water. Hope that make sense.

I guess it does...My water that comes out of our well tastes good enough to well...drink...lol so we don't worry with filtering it much anymore. We did when I first got the RO/DI but mine has a outlet before the DI filter for drinking water so I guess I was doing it right after all.

Another big thumbs up for them too. I got my DI unit, and my resin from them. You can find cheaper stuff for sure, but you will NOT find better customer service. Great folks, and reefers too!

Recommending to him the one you have.

Or..... I sell my 50gpd to him for 50 bucks - then do the one you have.
