RO/DI Question

I just recieved a new RO/DI filter....How long should I run it before I use the water. Is there a break in period?

Yes, there is a breaking in period. I don't remember how many gallons mine suggested but I do remember filling 20gal bucket to flush the system. I would suggest maybe 5-10 gal just to be safe.

My kent was 15 gallons, Make sure and leave out the di filter untill flushed,

I just received my RO/DI unit recently and it said nothing about a break-in period. I filled 1 Gallon first and tossed it and then started using the next batch. I also did not leave out the DI filter at all. Is this a bad thing? Did I mess anything up by not breaking it in???

I didnt leave out my di filter either but it will shorten the life of the di filter by using it during break in period, The other filters are full of phsophates and other junk that will clog it up so I was told by Kent Marine. We live and learn.
