Hi, Just want to ask I just got a RO Filterfor my aquarium water, the problem is this wis RO only :( without DI. Will this do?

Thanks for your inputs.

Yes, it will give you good water. My incoming TDS (total dissolved solids) are about 162 into the RO membrane. Coming out of the RO, they are about 12-13. The DI removes this last little bit with the end result being 0-1 TDS. You can always add a DI chamber later if you wish, but the RO water will be far superior to straight tap water.

Phoenix water 460 TDS before membrane, 40 after (I need a new membrane);
it used to be 10-20.

As you can see, that is a huge difference, even without DI.

Hey NightSpirit;
I'm glad you got an RO system at home? (5 stages?) Any way can you shed little light on how well the system work, and if anything will help as I'm trying to get an RO for my wife's family over there, Phoenix, AZ.
Thanks

P.S. Also have you consider looking at a Permeate Pump aiding to the solve the problem with lots of waste water going down the drain?
