RO filtration question

I just set up my first RO filter and had a coupleof questions.

1. Is it normal for my filter to produce equal amounts of RO water and waste water?

2. Is the waste water consumable for pets - dogs and cats?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

No they font create equal norm theres more waste then ro ...is yur tap water safe to drink if so then yea waste water can be consumed by pets

I just got my first RO/DI unit yesterday and in the instructions the came with it said the ratio is 3:1.. and Believe me, with my unit it is true.. Took forever to get 10 gallons.
