I got mine from Aquasafe Canada but I don't know if they sell on ebay anymore? BTW, my DI cartridge is horizontal and has worked fine for years.

Regarding horizontal versus vertical...

What I've *heard* said - but have no experience with - is that horizontal units can have channeling issues. Water may form a channel and not actually come in contact with much of the resin. I would speculate that it probably depends more on the quality of the packing of the resin more than it's orientation though.

I checked that out, and it looks pretty nice. I like how the canisters are clear instead of white, and the price isn't bad either.

they are a semi-local company for me out of Duluth, MN. The LFS by me carries their products and I have been very happy with them. It is far better them my Kent Maxima I had before.

Another thumbs up for thefilterguys.biz

I've purchased some DI stuff from them and had some questions before I bought. Lightning fast email responses to my questions and just plain nice people, it seems.

Correct. Plus, horizontal DI cartridges are usually substantially smaller than vertically mounted units.

I am a big fan of SpectraPure. Other than them, I would trust AirWaterIce.
