A ph of 7.8-8.3 is fine, as Hank said trying to artificially raise ph will only lead to other problems, 7.8 is fine in the winter, it is far more important to keep it stable. Don't get hung up on the 8.2 number, do you thing the oceans stay at 8.2 year around. Reefers are all to eager to dump chemicals to get everything to the perfect numbers, save the money your putting into chemicals and put it towards a great light , or salt.

So what's the best Salt? I've been using IO Reef crystal and have a PH issue as well. Since I want a BTA, I'm curious.
