Rubber Cement or PVC glue???

Hello all I was just curious if using pvc glue or rubber cement would harm my fish/tank/water if I'm just binding it from the return hose to my return head. There was very minute leaking. But any kind of leaking is bad, and i wanted to seal it to prevent further leaking. I'm still in the process of cycling my tank, nothing alive in there except for my live rock. Any info would be great, thanks.

Rubber cement I wouldn't try, but PVC glue is just fine as long as you let it dry.

Stick to plain old waterproof GEL superglue. It doesn't harm fish whatsoever.

PVC cement has two things you need to be aware of. The cure time is important when using it so it does not leach any chemicals into your tank. The set time is quick, but the cure time can take much longer depending on the application. Oates brand is most common at big box stores. I added the link from their site with the expected cure time.
